An Old Friend

Yesterday I guest posted on Kelly's blog, Diabetesaliciousness.

Kelly and I actually went to high school together. I don't remember her having diabetes, but I do remember her undying love for John Taylor from Duran Duran (who could blame her?).

That's what's so great about the DOC. Kerri mentioned Kelly in a post a while back, I followed it, and was looking at a school mate-turned-diabetes-activist on my computer screen. How great is that? Talk about not feeling so alone!

So hop on over to Kelly's blog to check out my post (yesterdays). It's about, of all things, friends.

PS - Kelly's so lucky I don't have a scanner ... I have my yearbook and I'm not afraid to use it!

  1. It was a great post Pam and what a small world!!!!

  2. Oh wow how great is that huh ? to actually see someone you know from high school on blogger that is awesome . great post .

  3. That is so wonderful that you have been able to reconnect with an old classmate...someone who completely understands this life with D.

I can't wait to head on over to her blog and check out your post!!!

  4. Office Max, Staples, and the local library would have a scanner.... :P

  5. Crazy small world! I'm so glad you found her!

  6. I read your guest posts and then decided to follow your blog now. Your post on Kelly's blog was well written and said so much. I wish I had someone who was willing to walk beside me in this journey of D. We are very new (3 months) in our journey. It's nice to "meet" you. I look forward to getting to know you better through your blog posts.

  7. Great post! I prefer a few great friends over a dozen "people I know" any day.

That's pretty neat that you just happened to come across Kelly's blog. It is a small world, but that was just meant to be :)

  8. Real friends aren't a dime a dozen. Love you Pam. You support me.

    Love Deb
