Lunch

This is how I pack lunch for the kids at the pool:
Each has their own container, and it makes it easier to pre-pack and count Grace's carbs. I'm buying stock in blue painter's tape - it works wonders when I need to label something, then peels off in a snap!

So what, you ask, does a 62 carb lunch look like? It looks like this:

sunflower seed butter and reduced sugar jelly on whole wheat = 30 carbs(there's actually a whole sandwich there, not just half)

grapes = 19 carbs

baked Cheetos = 13 carbs

I know it seems like a lot, but Grace will eat every single bite of her lunch. Then come back in an hour looking for a snack. My girl's a good eater, for sure!

  1. Great lunch and that's exactly what this Grace would eat too! I put little index cards in her lunch, along with an 'I love you' note. So far, she hasn't eaten one of them!

    (Well, except, she'd have a gluten free sandwich using Udi's GF bread)

  7. Hi Ladies! I found the lunch containers at my local grocery store (Market Basket) in the tupperware aisle. What you can't see from the picture is that the width is great but it's pretty shallow - when I put 2 halves of a sandwich on top of each other they get kind of squished. I've never been, but I hear The Container Store is great, too, and I think they might have a web site.

    Thanks for all the comment love!
